The mission of the Verizon Foundation is to improve lives through literacy, knowledge, and a readiness for the 21st Century. The Foundation's funding priorities include: supporting literacy and K-12 education for children and adults, preventing domestic violence and helping victims gain independence, improving healthcare through technology, and educating parents and children about Internet safety. Grants generally range from $5,000 to $10,000. Online applications may be submitted from January 1 through November 1, annually.
